Have you ever done something that didn’t feel right the moment you started doing it?
Have you ever continued to do that thing out of a sense of obligation?
I did that very thing yesterday.
As I wrote a few posts back, I am changing. Rapidly.
This thing I’m referring to has to do with the environment and my green beliefs.

I am so thankful to fellow bloggers like Greenspell, EcoYogini, FiveSeed, CrazySexyLife, and IntheRaw for helping me to make better choices.
I, too, am grateful for sites promoting kindness, like Domestic Witch, Secret Agent L, Kind Over Matter, and Operation Nice.
All of these sites have contributed to my recent life changes in small but significant ways.
J & I have been greening our life together over the last few years. But, it’s been progressing slowly. First, growing our own veggies, recycling and giving our things to Goodwill regularly. Next, buying meat only from a local farm. I always carry my own shopping bags, drink water from my stainless steel bottle and take my reusable mug to Starbucks – my guilty pleasure. Have you tried the Earl Grey Tea Latte? Yummy! Like drinking a flower
Just a few weeks ago, I decided to try all natural shampoo instead of store-bought to cut down on plastic consumption.
Each and every day is a new adventure of questioning.
Are my choice helping or hurting the environment?
Today, I will rectify the actions I took yesterday. It is the right thing for me to do.
Hope you are having a lovely Friday! It is still beautiful here, almost 65 degrees and the Sun is shining!

It takes immense courage to go back and correct your mistakes… I think this is a huge part of living your satya, your Truth. Well done for embracing the change… and thanks to the link for the eco-shampoo!
I’ve not had the Earl Grey tea latte, but it sounds delish….a flower you say? Sweet.
This will be our 3rd year vegetable gardening. I seriously hope it’s the charm. We plan to rototill the earth and heavily compost this time around..so I’m keeping my light-green fingers crossed it’s a better harvest.
I’m a firm believer in the power to change and it sounds like you’re headed in the direction you want to be going. Also, I have done the very thing you mention…something that doesn’t feel right, or I know it isn’t right and I’ve done it anyway. Lessons. It also sounds like you plan to make amends. I think sometimes that’s the only thing we can do. Oh, and learn from it. Constantly learning…that’s me:)
Wishing you peace on your journey, Heather.
Every step in going green is a new adventure. I love it!
I am so grateful for all the wonderful bloggers out there who share their ideas and kindness, too! Like you!
I think asking what we can do to help the environment is really important. I recycle and buy groceries from local provides. And I always carry my own water bottle and organic cotton bags.
Heather, all you do is so inspiring. I’m so impressed. I didn’t get to do some little nice things every day, but I did a big nice thing this week: I bought bedding for 24 orphans that one of my friends works with in Ghana. It apparently is going to make a huge difference for them.
